Once Legendary is a 2D platformer that is both skill and story driven. The game alternates between a normal jumping/puzzle based platformer with an adventurer, to a ‘beat-em-up’ where you are the sword that carries around the adventurer. With an enormous amount of gameplay that includes: 6 levels, 3 boss fights, multiple cut-scenes, in-game events, numerous monsters, multiple environmental hazards, health system, rune system, pickups, skills, abilities, checkpoints, saving system, and more—there’s almost an unlimited amount of things to do in the game.
This game was my final project that I completed for graduation at Full Sail University. Over the span of 4 months I led my team of 3 people (including myself), to create a completely original game from conception all the way to completion. Because of being in such a small team (most final project teams were 5+ students), I was able to have a hand in almost all aspects of the game. All assets within Once Legendary are completely original and hand made by me and my team (except for SFX and some music).
